After the verdict, Depp celebrated in a post: "I hope my journey to the truth can help others, men and women alike.  Those in situations like mine, and those who support them, never give up.  A new chapter has finally begun and the truth will never disappear."  Amber said she was disappointed by the verdict: "The mountain of evidence still fails to counter my ex-husband's immense power, influence and influence.  I'm more disappointed about what this verdict means for other women. It's a step back, it's a step back to a time when speaking out could be publicly shamed. It's a step back to the idea that violence against women could be taken seriously."

Depp made the following statement:

"Six years ago, my life, the lives of my children, the lives of so many people around me, people who supported and believed in me over the years, were changed forever in the blink of an eye.  False and very serious allegations of crime were hurled at me through the media, triggering a barrage of hate content, even though no charges were ever brought against me.  ...  From the beginning, the purpose of this lawsuit was to expose the truth regardless of the consequences.  I owe it to my children and those who stood by me.  Now, it gives me peace to know THAT I did.  I hope that my journey to the truth will help others, men and women, in situations similar to mine and those who support them, never give up.  I would like to get back to the presumption of innocence, both in court and in the media.  The truth will never die."
