The Massachusetts House of Representatives on Tuesday passed a bill that would grant asylum to abortion providers from other states, according to news reports.

According to the bill, abortion providers and doctors from other regions, or patients seeking abortions, cannot be held accountable or arrested in Massachusetts if they violate their state’s abortion laws.  In addition, it provides shelter to doctors and institutions in Massachusetts who could face revocation of their licenses for violating abortion-related laws in other states.
